Ultraviolet Flashlight Light
What is the advantage of an ultraviolet flashlight compared to regular L.E.D. flashlights?
Im looking at bulbs for my surefire 6p . I saw that there is a regular l.e.d. and ultraviolet l.e.d. for a bit more . I was wondering if one is better than the other ? and is ultraviolet lights designed for a specific task?
The only advantage of a UV LED is if you have a specific use for it as you said. UV has a shorted wavelength than visible light, so often called 'black light'. They are used for certain security marks etc (it is the light than will make 'some' of your white clothing glow purple, such as your trainers etc).
For regular flashlight use, such as lighting where you are going to walk so you don't trip over for example, they are completely 'useless'
