How do you get the right color with manic panic?
I recently bought Manic Panic Ultra Violet and I want it to come out a really bright, purple color. But I don't really know how to go about doing it. I have naturally dark brown hair, so I'm guessing bleaching it would be necessary. But with what volume bleach? and on the back of manic panic it claims to wash with a Ph Acid shampoo before hand. So what Ph shampoo should I use... I have a Ph 6 shampoo would that do? Or would I want one with a lower Ph. I'm rather new, so I guess a guide would be necessary lol. Thanks in advance.
you will need to bleach the hair. after you bleach you will want to wait at least a week to use the manic panic this will give you the best results,(bleach leaves the hair with open follicles, the hair may take the color but it will wash right out) also manic panic is not really a dye but a tint, when i used it before i left it in my hair forever, about an hour and a half, it won't damage the hair leaving it in longer than it says. wash hair with cold water and don't let the water run clear, rather stop washing once it feels like the dye is out even if the water is still purple, use a mild shampoo and try not to wash your hair often this will help the color last and stay vibrant.
